His obituary in the Zanesville Times Recorder of 9 Jan 1971 reported “Charles J. Gohring, 65, of Fultonham, a retired employee of Ohio Ferro-Alloy Company, died at 5:40 a.m. Friday (Jan. 8) at Good Samaritan Hospital after a seven-year illness.
He was born June 9, 1905 in Hemlock. His wife, Flossie, is deceased. Mr. Gohring was a member of Fultonham Church of Christ.
Surviving are five daughters, Sharon and Betty, both of the home, Mrs. Donald (Jean) Crisswell of New Bloomington; Mrs. George (Linda) Arnett of Chandlersville, and Mrs. Gary (Connie) Markim of Shawnee; five sons, William of Hebron, Donald of McConnelsville, Charles of Blue Rock., John of Roseville and Carl Gohring of the home; 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Clara Thompson, Mrs. Mable Spittler and Mrs. Lucile Gohring, all of Columbus, and Mrs. Lena Wilson of Fultonham; two brothers, Floyd Gohring of Hemlock and Clyde Gohring of Columbus.”

Her obituary in the Zanesville Times Recorder reported “Mrs. Flossie Mae Gohring, 60, of Fultonham, died Thursday evening (Dec 12) at Good Samaritan Hospital where she had been a patient two months.
She was born June 21, 1908 in Shawnee, a daughter of the late Andrew and Martha Pettit Craig. She had lived in Fultonham two years, moving there from Blue Rock. Mrs. Gohring was a member of the Church of Christ of Millertown.
Surviving are her husband, Charles J. Gohring Sr.; five daughters, Miss Betty of 1216 Blandy Ave., Miss Sharon of the home, Mrs. Gary (Connie) Marken of 1034 Gray St., Mrs. Charles (Linda) McGilton of 1216 Blandy Ave., and Mrs. Donald (Jean) Criswell of New Bloomington; five sons, William Craig of Hebron, Donald Gohring of McConnelsville Rt. 2, Charles Gohring Jr. of South Sixth St., Carl Gohring of the home and Johnny Gohring of Moxhala Ave; two brothers, William Craig of Shawnee and Edward Craig of Hebron; a sister, Mrs. Mary Spencer of Prospect Ave. Five children are deceased.”
