Bath Co., Ky marriage records list the marriage of John Beckner and Peggy Lowry on 25 Feb 1830 by John H. Hughs.
I have no record of Peggy other than the marriage to John Beckner. Attribution as a daughter of Moses Lowry is therefore tentative. I could not find a John Beckner or Bechner in the 1850 census with a wife Margaret or Peggy, nor any John Beckner in the area in the 1830 or 1840 census. There was a John Beckner in the 1820 census of Fleming Co., age 26 to 44, with wife 16 through 25, and three sons under 10, but it appears that he died sometime around 1828 or 1829, because his wife Mary “Polly” Parker (maiden name from death records for their sons) is a head of household in 1830 and 1840, with two sons under 5.
