1860 census of Carter Co., Ky, Bruin P.O., enumerated 18 Aug, lists on p. 186 as family #1334/1222:
Roter Rose, 47, farmer, b. N.C.; Hannah, 23; Jesse, 18; Robert, 17; William W., 15; Lucinda, 12; Elizabeth, 10; Cyntha A., 8. All except “Roter” born in Kentucky.
The preceding household is headed by Robert’s son John P. Rose.
(I’m putting this in Robert’s notes instead of the family notes because all the children are from his first marriage, to Sarah Perry.)

1870 census of Elliott Co., Ky, precinct 5, Newfoundland precinct, enumerated 16 Aug, lists on p. 21 as family #145:
Rose, Robert, 60, farmer; Hannah, 37; Louisa, 10; James, 7; Louisa, 6; Martha, 3; Jefferson D., 2; Alfred, 11/12. All born in Kentucky.
One of the two Louisas is most likely a niece or other relative, but the 1880 census describes them both as daughters.

All children listed as born Ky N.C. Ky, although that is in conflict with Robert’s reported birthplace.
