Morgan Co., Ky marriage records list the marriage on 29 Aug 1878 of William Roseberry and Rutha Eldridge, at Mary Eldridge’s by Samuel Hamilton, witnesses Hamilton Isom and Doctor Isom.
It is possible that this is a second marriage and that Eldridge is not Ruth’s maiden name, since there are three Eldridge stepchildren in the 1880 census. But the death records that I can find for her children give her maiden name as Eldridge. So perhaps either her first husband was also an Eldridge, or else she had several children before marriage.
