Her death certificate records Mrs. Sarah Doyle, age 78 years 1 month 19 days, born 17 March 1850 in Kentucky, died 16 Oct 1923 in Martin, Lewis Co., Ky, widowed, father Alex McDanniel, mother’s maiden name Sarah McDanniel, both born in Kentucky, cause of death cardia dropsey, informant Alex Doyle, Martin, Ky.

She was listed in the 1850 census, visited in August, but with ages supposed to be recorded as of June 1, as age 10 months, which would imply a birthdate in July to Sep of 1849, depending on how carefully the instructions were followed. So it is likely that she was really born earlier, but it is possible that her age was reported as 2 months and misheard, or as 4 months and mistranscribed. (Census takers often took rough notes on their visits, and copied them into the official forms later at home.)
