This family is in my database only to hold the records concerning their son Sylvanus, since he is easily confused with the Sylvanus Butler Grayson of Rowan Co., Ky, who was just five months younger.

1870 census of Brown Co., Ohio, Aberdeen Huntington township, enumerated 29 Aug, lists on p. 72 as family #506/522:
Grayson, Thomas, 39, farm laborer, b. Ky; Elizabeth, 39, b. Ohio; Ardilla, 11; John W., 9; Rufus R., 5. All children are listed as born in Ky, but that is inconsistent with the 1860 census for Ardelia.
