1920 census of Monroe Co., West Virginia, Gap Mills district, enumerated 6 Jan, lists on p. 2B, lines 89 and 90 (households not numbered):
Harsely, Peter, 35, widowed, farm laborer; Thomas, son, 6. Both born Ky Ky Ky.
The preceding household is headed by Jack Brown and Peter’s sister Dee.
1930 census of Morgan Co., Ky, Blaze precinct, enumerated April 22, lists on p. 9B as family #121:
Hosley, Pete, 38, widowed, age at first marriage 20, farmer; Tommie, son, 18; Alice, mother, 55, widowed, age at first marriage 18; Bill, nephew, 20, single. All born Ky Ky Ky.
Judging by the 1900 and 1910 censuses, Bill is probably the William who was the son of Pete’s sister Nancy. The relationship for Alice may be wrong, since according to those same censuses, Pete’s mother’s name was Rebecca, and she would be about 65 in 1930.
