His obituary in the Morehead News reported “Thomas Isaac Horsley, 94, passed away Friday, November 23, 2007 in the Life Care Center.
He was born on September 18, 1913 in Ohio, a son of the late Peter and Ann Horsley.
Mr. Horsley was a farmer. He was a member of the Farmers Church of God and enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca M. Brown Horsley who passed away on November 28, 1998, one son, Johnny Morton Horsley and an infant sister, Asha Horsley.
Survivors include one son, William Henry (“Bill”) Horsley of Morehead, one daughter, Janie Trent of Morehead, one brother, William Horsley of Morehead, two grandchildren, Willa Jane Bevins and Jamie Edward Trent and one great-granddaughter, Amelia Maynard-Trent.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 25, 2007 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Guy officiating. Burial was in the New Alfrey Cemetery at Farmers.
Pallbearers were Tony Pettit, Paul Pettit, Jamie Trent, Chris Bevins, Rick Wheeler, Don Perry and Jeff Perry.”
Although the obituary says that he was born in Ohio, the 1920 and 1930 censuses both say that he was born in Kentucky.
