John is buried next to (but not with a shared stone) a Jeanette Carpenter, with the dates March 9, 1883 to July 29, 1969. It is possible that this is not really his wife, since all the marriage, birth and census records that I’ve seen show his wife’s name only as Lizzie. If not, then the dates for Lizzie are unknown. (I should look for an obituary.)
