Notes for Alice M. Coldiron
I am entering her name as “Alice M. Coldiron” because she was generally known as Alice, and there are conflicting records as to whether her other given name was Margaret (the marriage license) or Mary (the 1900 census.) Maybe her full name was Mary Margaret Alice Coldiron.
After Reuben died, Alice moved to Lawrence Co, Ky, to live with her daughter Tereasa who had married Luther Skaggs, son of Jerry Skaggs and Sarah Hill.
The Kentucky death index lists Alice Ison, age 98, died 16 Sep 1964 in Lawrence Co., residence same.

Morgan Co., Ky marriage records list the marriage on 2 Mar 1883 of Ruben Ison and Margaret Coldiron.
This is is the only record I’ve seen that gives her name as Margaret. She is recorded as Mary A. in the 1900 census, and as Alice on every other census, and in the death certficates of their children.

The name “Mary A” for Reuben’s wife is unexpected, since she was recorded as Alice on every other census, and as Margaret on their marriage record. The preceding household is headed by Reuben’s brother Ben, and the one before that by his parents.

All listed as born Ky Ky Ky, although that is wrong for Rebecca.
The “number of children” field for Rebecca contains what looks like a tightly kerned 33, but is probably intended as an 8 correcting a 3.
