“Harold C. "Red" Duff, 80, of Middletown, OH went to be with the Lord January 13, 2001 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Dayton, OH. He was born on February 14, 1920 in Winchester, KY and lived here most of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. Duff was property manager for Heritage Investments for 15 years before retiring in 1985. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3809 of Middletown and a former member of American Legion Post 218 and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 528 of Middletown. He was preceded in death by his parents, Garfield and Effie (Blair) Duff; and two brothers, Thomas F. and Bill Duff. He leaves his wife of 50 years, Opal V. Duff; a daughter, Karen S. Ryan of Middletown; a son William H. Duff of New Richmond, OH; a stepson, Arthur Lee Spicer of Trenton, OH; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Glen Duff of Middletown. He will be sadly missed.”

“DUFF, Opal "Penny" age 83, of Middletown, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Garden Manor Retirement Village. She was born September 10, 1927 in Wolfe County, KY to Matthew and Goldie (Tester) VanCleve.
She was an apartment manager for Mid America Properties for 22 years, retiring in 1990. Opal was a member of Grace Baptist Church where she was involved in the Jolly 60's Club. She loved to travel, sew and crochet.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold "Red" Duff on January 13, 2001; sons, William H. Duff and Arthur Lee Spicer and grandson, Eric Ryan. Opal is survived by daughter, Karen (Tom) Ryan of Middletown; daughter-in-laws, Susan Spicer of Trenton and Pauline Duff of New Richmond, OH; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.”
