“June Varvel, 88, of Arcanum, died Nov. 21, 2011, at Rest Haven Nursing Home, Greenville.
Mrs. Varvel was born in Jamestown, Ohio on June 21, 1923, the daughter of the late Harvey V. and Jeanetta (Rittenhouse) Lovett.
She was employed by Neff Lettering for 43 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil E. Varvel, who died June 30, 1995; grandson Todd Varvel; daughter-in-law Cynthia Varvel; brother Richard Lovett; and sister Shirley Carroll.
June is survived by daughters, Joan Hileman and husband Jim of New Madison, Beverly Martin and husband Lewis of Greenville, and April Arnold of Troy; sons Ernest Varvel of Arcanum and Jerry Varvel of New Madison; 16 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren; sisters Helen Shaneyfelt of Xenia, Doris Jean Early and husband Harry of Sabina, and Esther Rotroff of Xenia; brothers George Lovett of Xenia and Neil Lovett and wife Noreen of Xenia.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum, with Roger Ewing officiating. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery.”
