Lula apparently returned to her maiden name (although it is possible that she married another Adkins some time after 1940.)
The Kentucky death index lists Lula Adkins, age 82, died 1 Mar 1965 in Rowan Co., residence same.

In 1930 Lula is living with her parents in Wisconsin, listed as married, but no husband in the household.

This Adkins family is not related to me. I did some research into them on behalf of an online query.
Census
1910 census of Morgan Co., Ky, North Fork precinct, enumerated 29 April, lists on p. 9B as family #116/120:
Adkins, Mack, 51, 3rd marriage, farmer; Lula, wife, 25, first marriage, married 4 years, mother of 2 children, 2 living; Nealy, son, 3; Viola, dau, 11/12. All born Ky Ky Ky.
I cannot find Lula in the 1920 census. Nealy and Viola are in Langlade Co., Wisconsin with her parents, listed as Adkins, Neale E., grandson, 13, and Adkins, Violie, 9, granddau.
