S. Moore, Morehead, burial on home farm of James M. Moore.

Her death certificate records Amanda Susan Moore, age 80 years 1 month 26 days, born 1866 in Kentucky, died 27 Apr 1946 in Morehead, Rowan Co., Ky, widowed, father James Moore, mother’s maiden name Bettie Parish, both born in Kentucky, cause of death arteriosclerotic heart disease, informant M. F. Moore, Morehead, Ky, burial in family cemetery.

The informant (her son Millard) has incorrectly reported Amanda's husband James Moore as her father. Perhaps he misunderstood the question as asking who his own father was rather than hers.

1930 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Morehead precinct, enumerated 11 April, lists on p. 10A as family #60:
Moore, Susan, 63, widowed, Bertie, dau, 32, divorced. Walker, Carmie, granddau, 14. Templeman, Maxine, granddau, 6.

The preceding household is headed by Claude Moore, the next household by William Messer and Luada Moore, and the one after that by Lora Moore.

I cannot find this family in the 1900 census.

1910 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Morehead precinct, enumerated 15 April, lists on p. 1B as family #12:
Moore, James M., 63, b. NC NC NC, farmer; Mandy S., wife, 44, b. Ky Tenn Ky, first marriage for both, married 28 years, mother of 10 children, 9 living; Lucy, dau, 25, single; Luada, dau, 14; Bertie Lee, dau, 12; Ina B., dau, 10; Claude, son, 8; Clyde, son, 6; Adeline, dau, 1. All children born Ky NC Ky.

Although it says it is the first marriage for both, James had been previously married to Martha Jane Branham. The preceding household is headed by James’ and Martha’s son George Sherman Moore, age 35, married 10 years with wife Julia age 26.

1920 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Morehead precinct, enumerated 28 Jan, lists on p. 13 as family #134/137:
Moore, James, 72, farming; Manda, wife, 53; Inabelle, dau, 19; Claude, son, 18; Clide, son, 16; Adaline, dau, 11. All listed as born Ky Ky Ky, although that is inconsistent with other records.

The next household is headed by their son Lora, age 32, with wife Lizzie age 33.
