I cannot find this family in the 1870 census .
1880 census of Elliott Co., Ky, Mocassin precinct, enumerated 17 June, lists on p. 28 as family #178:
Parish, Elizabeth, 59, widowed, b. Tenn Va Va; John, 16, son, works on farm, b. Ky Va Va; Amanda S., 14, dau, b. Ky Va Va; Smith, Martha, 18, dau, married, b. Ky Va Va; Mary E., 1, granddau, b. Ky Ky Ky.
Note that the reported mother’s place of birth for all of Elizabeth’s children is inconsistent with her own.
