Notes for James William “Willie” Brown
He appears on many records as Willie, but his grandchildren knew him as Bill. Apparently the fashion in nicknames changed.
Be careful not to confuse him with William M. Brown (26 Jan 1891 - 30 Sep 1964), who married Katie Blanton, and was also known as both Willie and Bill. (Ancestry.com tends to suggest their census records for each other, and many people accept those hints uncritically.)
Ancestry.com is also prone to erroneously “suggest” the SSDI and death records for William “Willie” Hamilton Brown (9 Oct 1890 - 19 Nov 1964) of Lexington, since they were born just three days apart, and James William Brown born 6 Mar 1890 of Louisville (who was black.)

Notes for Liddie Margaret Ramey
I cannot find her in the Kentucky birth index, even examining all births on 16 Apr 1911 or 1912 statewide, and all births in 1911 or 1912 in Rowan and Elliott counties. It is possible that she was really born in 1910, before birth indexing began. But maybe she was born at home and her parents just didn’t report the birth.
The SSDI lists Liddie Brown, born 16 April 1911, died Oct 1982, last residence Morehead, Rowan Co., Ky, SSN issued in Kentucky in 1968.
The Kentucky death index lists Liddie R. Brown, age 71, died 13 Oct 1982 in Greenup Co., residence Rowan Co. (The ‘R’ presumably stands for Ramey. The death index often reports a maiden name as a middle name for married or widowed women.)
