“James C. McClain, 75, of Kilgore, passed away Dec. 22, 2011 in a Tyler hospital. He was born April 5, 1936 in West Liberty, Ky., to the late Fredrick and Jessie Bradley McClain, and he has lived in Kilgore since 1977. After high school, Mr. McClain proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Later, he owned and operated McClain Trucking Inc. with his wife Barbara.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick and Jessie McClain.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Barbara Fosson McClain of Kilgore; daughters, Donna McClain and companion George Faussett of Overton, and Marie McClain Thompson and husband Bart of Winona; son, Scott Alexander and wife Tracy of Prescott, Ariz.; brother, Gary McClain and wife Tina of Grayson, Ky.; six grandchildren; one greatgrandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside memorial service for Mr. McClain will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012 in the Chapel Mausoleum of Rusk County Memorial Gardens in Henderson.”
