His surname is recorded as Lyon in the 1860, 1870, 1880, 1900, 1910, 1920 and 1930 censuses, and on his marriage record, but as Lyons in the 1940 census and on his death certificate and gravestone. He apparently switched the spelling very late in life, most likely because his son and grandson went by Lyons as adults.
His given name is probably a variant of Zedediah.

She was recorded as age 6 in the 1880 census, with a lot of closely spaced siblings, so the year of birth is probably off by one.

Based on the Kentucky birth index, the mother of the two Patrick children was Zettie and Della’s daughter Ida Ellen. I do not know the given name of her husband. The relationship for “Herman” should be niece, not nephew. Probably the census taker misheard “Herma Ann” as Herman, and assumed the gender on that basis.
