Her obituary reported:
“Mrs. Nannie Belle Corbin Boyd, 76 years old, wife of George W. Boyd of Reynoldsville, died at her home their Wednesday night at 12 o’clock, following a long illness. Mrs. Boyd had been in declining health for the past several years and for the last twelve months or longer had been an invalid. Her condition became critical shortly after ten o’clock Wednesday night and she passed away about mid-night.
A native of this county and a decendent of a prominent pioneer family, she was the daughter of the late Silas and Artemissa Arrasmith Corbin, born near Bethel June 3, 1867.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Shrout, Lexington, and Mrs. Ernest Wells, this county, and a son, Willie Boyd, Reynoldsville; one sister, Mrs. Alonzo Razor, of near Sharpsburg, and one brother, A. C. Corbin, of Fleming county.
Funeral services will be held at the residence Saturday afternoon, June 19, at 2 o’clock, conducted by the Rev. C. D. Goodwin, pastor of the Methodist church. Interment will be in the family lot in Longview cemetery at Bethel.
Pall bearers will be: Active Walter Corbin, Sherman Corbin, Frank Boyd, Noah Smith, Nick Corbin, Russell Corbin, George Wells, Bert Stephens; honorary, W. C. Lacy, D. W. Doggett, C. W. McVey, Herbert Manley, Tom Power, Harry McCue, Tom Manley and Earl Maxey.”
