Her obituary reported:

“Vivian E. (McClurg) Ison of Okeechobee, FL, formerly of West Liberty, KY, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2010 after an extended illness, at the age of 59 years, 11 months, and 15 days. She was born on Tuesday, February 7, 1950 in Morgan County, KY, a daughter of Christine McClurg and the late Arnold McClurg.

Vivian was a homemaker, devoting her life to care for her family and her home. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a Christian by faith.

She is survived by two daughters, Lisa and Joe Cover of Douglasville, GA and Lareta and Larry Comer of Okeechobee, FL; two sons, Rodney and Melissa Ison of West Liberty, KY and Mark and Elisha Ison of Palm City, FL; her mother, Christine McClurg of West Liberty, KY; ten grandchildren; one sister, Charlotte and Joe Lewis of West Liberty, KY; five brothers, Larson and Imajean McClurg, Lynn B. McClurg all of West Liberty, KY, Raymond McClurg and Susie of Morehead, KY, Bill and Cora McClurg, and Mike McClurg all of West Liberty, KY.

Visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at the Potter Funeral Home in West Liberty, KY.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 31, 2010, at the Potter Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY with Rev. Eugene Haney officiating.

Burial will follow in the McClurg Cemetery on McClurg Road, West Liberty, KY.

Pallbearers: Rodney Ison, Mark Ison, Joe Cover, Larry Comer, Larson McClurg, Lynn B. McClurg, Raymond McClurg, Bill McClurg, and Mike McClurg.”
