His WW I draft registration card, filed 12 Sep 1918, records Zack R. Sexton, age 43, residence Frenchburg, Menifee Co., Ky, born 5 Mar 1875, occupation blacksmith, self-employed, nearest relative Stella F. Sexton (wife), same address.
The SSDI lists Zack Sexton, born 5 Mar 1875, died Dec 1848, SSN issued in Kentucky in 1979. (This is interesting, a posthumously issued Social Security number. I wonder what the conditions are for allowing that.)
His death certificate records Zack R. Sexton, age 73 years 8 months 26 days, born 5 Mar 1875 in Menifee Co., died 1 Dec 1948 in Jeffersonville, Montgomery Co., Kentucky, divorced, father William Sexton, mother’s maiden name Melvina Moore, both born in Virginia, cause of death chronic nephritis, informant Robert Sexton, 2829 Ralliston Ave., Dayton 7, Ohio, burial in Sexton Cemetery, Menifee Co.
Despite the consistency of these records, it is likely that he was born in 1874. He was recorded as age 6 in the 1880 census, and as age 26 born Mar 1874 in the 1900 census. Furthermore, his younger brother Robert was reportedly born in March 1876, which would be tight child spacing. (If Zack was born in 1875, then Robert was probably born in 1877.)

Notes for Stella F. Hendricks
I cannot find a death record for Stella, nor can I find her in the 1940 census. Zack is recorded as widowed in 1940, and as divorced on his death certificate. It may be that he was actually divorced in 1940, and Stella had remarried by then and moved away. On the other hand, perhaps she died before 1940 in another state, and Zack remarried and then divorced his second wife.
