Notes for Joseph Vivian Quisenberry
Most records during his lifetime were spelled Quesenberry or Quesenbery, but most descendants use the Quisenberry spelling.
He apparently died sometime between 1915, when their youngest son Randolph was born, and 1920, when Annie was recorded in the census as widowed. Unfortunately, the West Virginia Vital Statistics site
28 does not have any death certificates for Summers Co. from 1909 through 1916. (It covers 1871 - 1872, 1874 - 1905, 1908, and 1917 - 1968.)
Notes for Annie Gray Jessee
Her death certificate records Mrs. Annie G. Quesenberry, age 62 years 6 months 6 days, born 8 Aug 1872 in Va, died 14 Feb 1935 in Hinton, Summers Co., West Virginia, widow of J. V. Quesenberry, father James M. Jesse, born in Va, mother’s maiden name unknown, cause of death bronchopneumonia, informant Mrs. Fannie Johnson, Hinton, burial in Hinton.
The reported birth date is very probably off by one year; all censuses are consistent with a birth date in Aug 1873.
