The reported age and birth date are off probably by one year; he was recorded as 1 year old in the 1870 census, taken in June. His parents also cannot have been born in Magoffin County, since it was not created until 22 Feb 1860, from parts of Floyd, Johnson and Morgan counties.

All children plus David are listed as born Ky Ky Va, but that makes the mother’s place of birth inconsistent. There is a short word above the “M2” in David’s marital status column, but I cannot read it.

The SSDI lists Ollie Risner, born 20 July 1890, died 15 May 1972, last residence Mount Sterling, Montgomery Co., Kentucky.
The Kentucky death index lists Ollie Risner, age 81, died 13 May 1972 in Montgomery Co., residence same.

I cannot find Ollie or her daughters Sada and Virginia May in the 1920 census. Nor can I find her father Theodore Brown. They were probably all together.

1930 census of Montgomery Co., Ky, Mt. Sterling ward 2, enumerated 16 April, lists on p. 13B as family #293/269, on Locust St:
Risner, Dave, 50, age at first marriage 35, laborer at odd jobs; Ollie, wife, 37, age at first marriage 20; Virginia, dau, 12; Stanley, son, 8; Valmer, dau, 5; Verlin, dau, 5; Albert, son, 3 1/12. Brown, Theodore, father-in-law, 75, widowed. All born Ky Ky Ky.
The age for David is off by 10 years. According to the Ky birth index, Virginia was actually born to Ollie on 1 July 1917 before she and David were married (as was another daughter Sada on 15 June 1912, who was already married to John Barnes by 1930, and died 15 June 1932. Sadie’s death certificate gives her father as David Risner, though.)

Risner, Ollie, 47, widowed; Valmar, dau, 15; Albert, son, 15; Pearl, dau, 9. Brown, Allie, brother, 41, widowed, laborer. All living in Mt. Sterling in 1935.
The birthplace for Valmar is recorded as Ohio and all others as Kentucky, but the twins are listed in the Ky birth index, as Velma Clay Risner and Verlin May Risner, born 3 July 1924 in Montgomery Co, mother’s maiden name Ollie Brown. On the other hand, those are delayed birth certificates registered on 25 Apr 1978, so perhaps they really were born in Ohio. On the third hand, the Ky birth index also lists unnamed twin daughters born to Ollie Brown and “Dave Risoner” in Montgomery Co on 18 May 1923, certificates #49883 and #49884, for whom I can find no matching death certificates.
