Sena’s mother Sarah Salyers married David’s father as his second wife, so Sena was David’s stepsister as well as his wife.

1900 census of Carter Co., Ky, Olive Hill precinct, enumerated 36 June, lists on p. 18B as family #347/363:
Perry, David, 43, b. Aug 1856, Ky Ky Ky, farmer; Sariah, wife, 40, b. May 1860, b. Ky Va Ky, married 24 years, number of children columns blank; John, 22, b. Jan 1878; Amanda H., dau, 20, b. May 1880; Birtha J, dau, 15, b. May 1885. All children born Ky Ky Ky.
This record is confusing, since Sena would have been 50 or 51 in 1900, making this appear to be a second marriage for David, yet the number of years married says 24. Based on the 1910 census (see notes for David’s marriage to Sarah Erwin), it appears that David reported the number of years since his first marriage, and then presumably that number was just dittoed to Sarah.
