This Perry family is in my database mainly because I trace all Hall families of the Rowan/Carter/Elliott/Morgan/Fleming county areas, even if they are not my own Hall branch, and I was trying to track down documentation of the parents of the two wives named Frances who married Alfred Hall.

1850 census of Carter Co., Ky, district 2, enumerated 6 Sep, lists on p. 43 as family #262:
Robert H. Perry, 40, farmer; Amanda, 36; Mary, 13; Thomas, 11; James, 7; William, 5; Nancy, 10/12. All born in Kentucky.

1860 census of Carter Co., Ky, Olive Hill P.O., enumerated 16 June, lists on p. 15 as family #102/95:
Henderson H. Perry, 50, farmer; Amanda F., 42; Mary C., 23; Thos, 20; James J., 16; Wm Wr, 14; Nancy J., 9; David W., 5; Amda H., 2; Almira F., 1. All born in Kentucky.

Amanda is a daughter of Mary C., and Almira may be as well. (Her death certificate is ambiguous - it reports her father as Hence Perry and her mother’s maiden name as Mary Perry.)

1870 census of Carter Co., Ky, precinct 4, Grayson P.O., enumerated 23 July, lists on p. 17 as family #128/114 (the last household in the precinct):
Perry, Robert, 60, farmer; Sarah, 49; David, 15; Bays, Rebecca, 19, idiot; Newton, 16, farmer. All born in Kentucky.
