His death certificate records Salvanious Brooks Pettit, age 80 years 4 months 24 days, born 19 Nov 1875 in Fairmont, W.Va, died 13 Apr 1956 in Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, married, retired merchant, father George W. Pettit, mother’s maiden name Melvina Pyles, cause of death coronary thrombosis, informant Virginia Pettit, burial in Reed Cemetery.
