(The registrar recording this card was Clella Porter, whose daughter Darlene would later marry Van’s son Arthur.)

The Kentucky death index lists Van Hogge, age 71, died 21 Feb 1960 in Rowan Co., residence same.

The SSDI lists Lula Hogge, born 16 Sep 1891, died June 1974, last residence Indianapolis, Marion Co., Indiana, SSN issued in Kentucky in 1965.

Rowan Co., Ky marriage book 7, p. 312, records the marriage on 14 Jan 1911 of Van Hogge, age 21, son of S. & Mame Hogge, to Lulie Parker, age 18, daughter of Wm & Amanda Parker, both born in Rowan Co., both residents of Elliottsville, at the bride’s residence by D. M. Holbrook, witnesses Mrs. G. S. Pardue and Wm. Parker, bond surety by E. Hogge.

1920 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Hogtown precinct, enumerated 28 Jan, lists on p. 15B as family #282/285:
Hog, Van, 30, farmer; Lula, wife, 28; Arthur, son, 4; Wilma, dau, 2 2/12; Edna, dau, 8/12. All born Ky Ky Ky.

Their son Elmer is recorded with Lula’s parents as Elmer Hogge, age 8, grandson.

1930 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Morehead precinct, enumerated 9 April, lists on pp. 7A-7B as family #46:
