Her death certificate records Lottie Maze, age 57 years 11 months 28 days, born 13 Aug 1890 in Rowan Co., Kentucky, died 10 Aug 1947 in Farmers, Rowan Co., Ky, married, wife of Claude Evans, father William Maze, mother’s maiden name Henrietta Myers, both born in Kentucky, cause of death pneumonia following broken hip, informant Claude Evans, Farmers, Ky, burial in Brown Cemetery, Morehead.

The reported birth date is probably off by about 2 years. She was recorded in the 1900 census as age 12 born Aug 1887. That date was probably incorrect too, since her parents were married in January 1888. Most likely she was born Aug 1888, but possibly 1889.

I cannot find a marriage record for them in Rowan Co. They were probably married in Bath Co.

1910 census of Rowan Co., Farmers precinct, enumerated 21 April, lists on p. 7A as family #124/129:
Evans, Claud, 25, laborer at stave mill; Lottie, wife, 22, married 1 year, mother of 1 child, 1 living; William, age 1 yr 3 mo. All born Ky Ky Ky. It is marked as a second marriage for Lottie, first for Claude.

1920 census of Bath Co., Ky, White Sulphur precinct, Salt Lick, enumerated 16 Jan, lists on p. 9A as family #180/182:
Evans, Claude, 34, cranesman at rock quarry; Lottie, wife, 28; Bill, son, 12; Claude, son, 2 10/12. All born Ky Ky Ky.

1930 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Farmers precinct, enumerated 12 April, lists on p. 1A as family #7:
Evans, Claude, 44, age at first marriage 23; Lottie, wife, 41, age at first marriage 18; Claudia, son, 12; Audrey, dau, 3. All born Ky Ky Ky.

The next household is headed by Price Hall, who is married to Lottie’s sister Della.
