He was recorded in the 1880 census as age 3, and in the 1900 census as age 23, born Nov 1876, and in the 1910 census as age 33.

Be careful not to confuse him with Gardner “Gar” Elliott, born 15 June 1876 in Elliott Co., son of Jackson Elliott and Malinda Blankenship.

Rowan Co., Ky marriage book 3, p. 66, records the marriage on 17 June 1898 of G. H. Elliott, age 21, born in and both parents born in Morgan Co., occupation teaming, his first marriage, to Delila Donahew, age 25, her second marriage, at Morehead by T. W. Rose, witnesses Motie Rose and J. W. Markwell (also bond surety.)

1900 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Morehead precinct, enumerated 11 June, lists on p. 8B as family #162:
Elliott, Garner, 23, b. Nov 1876, farmer; Della, wife, 25, b. May 1875, married 2 years, 0 children. Both born Ky Ky Ky.

The previous household is headed by Gardner’s parents.
