107. “Family Bible of Alex Patton,” New Testament, New York: American Bible Society, 1895, family record pages posted online at Ancestry.com.
This bible may have been given to Alex and Nannie on the occasion of their marriage, since it was printed in 1895, after the date of his first two marriages, and her birthdate is entered immediately after his, with the children of that marriage following. The birthdates of his first two wives and their children are not mentioned, nor is his fourth marriage, to Lou Ella Dyer. A few later events concerning the Turner and Markwell families are written on the cover page, so Nannie apparently kept the bible after they separated, and passed it on to their daughter Eva. 108. Morgan County birth, death and marriage records on LDS microfilm #0126,835. (Note for anyone cross-checking: the 1855 birth records are misbound, which since the binding runs between the mother’s given name and maiden surname, can give the impression of the wrong mother’s name if it is not noticed. They are bound in the following order, where L indicates the left-hand side of the page and R the right-hand side: 1L+9R, 8L+2R, 3L+7R, 6L+5R, 4LR, 5L+6R, 7L+3R, 2L+8R, 9L+1R, 10LR.)

The family bible of John Wesley Williams, son of Joseph Gill Williams and Nancy Hasty. Five pages of this bible were photographed on 21 Oct 2008 (from a camera date stamp), and have been attached to dozens of family trees at Ancestry.com. I have not found any record of who took the photographs, or originally uploaded them, or who currently owns the bible. (Photos on Ancestry quickly spread to multiple trees and it becomes difficult to determine the original source.)
