According to Minnie Anderson <wardhill@zoomnet.net> in a message posted to the KYMORGAN-L list on 21 Jan 1999, Thomas and Patience sold their Elliott County farm and moved to Powell county (she didn’t mention the date.)

1880 census of Powell Co., Ky, precinct 4, enumerated 22 June, lists on p. 28 as family #250/280:
Deharte, Thomas, 64, b. Va Va Va, farmer; Patience, 58, wife, b. Va Va Va; Stephen, 19, son, b. Ky Va Va; Joshway, 13, son, b. Ky Va Va.

The next household is their son William.
