The best match I can find for Alexander in the 1900 census is an Alex Hall, age 28, born Oct 1871, Ky Ky Ky, single, living as a farm laborer with the family of Francis and Ellen Corkle in Grant township, Antelope Co., Nebraska. The family of Alex’s sister Arta and her husband John Easterling are living in the same county in 1900, and they also wound up in Oregon in 1910.

Her death certificate records Amanda Flaugher, age 54 years 4 months 18 days, born 24 Dec 1872 in Kentucky, died 11 April 1927 in Elliott Co., Ky, married, father John Easterling, birthplace unknown, maiden name of mother unknown, cause of death breast cancer, informant Lillian Flaugher, Redwine, Ky, burial in Flaugher p.b.g. (private burial ground), Redwine, Ky.

The father’s given name is incorrect, which is understandable considering that the informant did not know her mother’s name either.

Rowan County marriage license/bond book 2, p. 62, contains license issued on 19 Sep 1890 to Alexander Hall, consent by Wm Hall, for marriage to Amanda Easterling, consent by James Easterling, bond surety by G.E. Whitt. Register book A, p. 32, records the marriage as having taken place on 20 Sep 1890.

They apparently divorced fairly soon after the marriage, because they had no children together, and Amanda married again in 1900, and Alexander in 1905, and they each listed those second marriages as their first in the 1910 census.
