Known by the family as “Bill Steve”, because he was the son of Stephen Dehart.2

Dates of birth and death are from his gravestone. I cannot find him in the Kentucky death records.

Her death certificate records Mary L. Dehart, age 85 years 1 month 1 day, born 30 June 1866 in Elliott Co., Ky, died 31 July 1951 in Elliottsville, Rowan Co., Ky, married, father Freeland Conn, mother’s maiden name unknown, cause of death arteriosclerosis and nephritis, informant Mastin Dehart, burial in Dehart Cemetery, Morehead, Ky.

In 1930 she was enumerated as age 63, widowed, with her son Maston and daughter Catherine, but Maston was listed as head of household, see his notes.

1900 census of Rowan Co., KY, Hoggtown prec. 4, enumerated 12 June, lists on p. 9A as family #150:

Nov 1884; Eliza F., dau, 10, b. June 1890; Luca B., son, 8, b. <illegible> 1891; Thomas, son, 6, b. Jan 1894; Rosa E., dau, 4, b. June 1895; Maston, son, 1, b. Sep 1898. All born Ky/Ky/Ky. The “son” Luca B. should be a daughter Lula B.
