Rowan Co. birth records list a son W. McKinsey born 21 May 1859 to A. J. McKinsey and Louisa Alfrey, both parents born in Fleming Co.
The Centennial Edition of the Rowan County News contains an article written by Chester Vernon Alfrey which lists among the children of A. J. McKenzie Sr. & Louisa Alfrey “W. M. W. who married Laura Johnson the first time, Nora Ramey the second time and Lily Ramey the third time.”
Rowan Co. marriage records, though, record the maiden name of Wallace McKenzie’s second and third wives as Haney, not Ramey.
