Rowan Co., Ky marriage register A, p. 81, records the marriage on 29 Mar 1896 of George Kegley and Virginia Mathews.
I am unsure whether George and Jennie divorced, or if he died sometime between 1900 and 1904. Most likely the former, since I cannot find a later record for him, but when Jennie remarried to Caleb Tussey in 1904, she was going by her maiden name.

1900 census of Laurel Co., Ky, Independence precinct, enumerated 6 June, lists on p. 16A as family #30:
Mathews, Lewis N., 49, b. Sep 1850, Missouri Ky Ky, farmer; Cosby, wife, 48, b. July 1851, Ky Ky Ky, married 26 years, mother of 0 children, 0 living; Kegley, Virginia, dau, 21, b. Aug 1878, Ky Ky Missouri, married 5 years, mother of 2 children, 1 living; Geo, son-in-law, 25, b. Sep 1874, Ky Ky Ky; Ema J., dau, 3, b. Sep 1896; Wm T., grandson, 11/12, b. June 1899. All children born Ky Ky Ky.
The “0 children married 26 years” for Cosby is inconsistent with the daughter status for Virginia. Emma Kegley should be a granddaughter of Lewis instead of daughter. Everyone except William is entered with a birth year in ink that is one year too late to be consistent with the age, and then corrected in pencil to be one year earlier. I’ve transcribed the consistent dates, but it could be that the ages were instead the incorrect part.
