(Probably means Cranston.)

She was probably really born in 1838 to 1840, since she was recorded in the1850 census as age 11.

In 1920 she was listed as Miltilda McCarty, age 80, widowed, grandmother, with Luther Williams and his wife Maude, daughter of Joseph F. Purvis and Viola McCarty. (Which would make her actual relationship to Luther grandmother in law.)

1860 census of Tazewell Co., Virginia, enumerated 20 Aug, lists on p. 217 as family #1486/1448:
