1880 census of Menifee Co., Ky, Beaver precinct, enumerated 23 June, lists on p. 27 as family #154:
Ginter, James, 34, farming; Nancy, 33, wife; Nelly J., 12, dau; Jane, 10, dau; Leenor, 6, dau; Mary, 4, dau; Nanie, 3, dau; Jack, 1, son; Annie, 69, mother. All listed as born Ky Ky Ky, although that is inconsistent with the 1870 census for James’ mother.

The daughter “Leenor” should be a son, Len Roe.

1900 census of Menifee Co., Ky, district 3, enumerated 5 June, lists on p. 2A as family #21:

The Reed grandchildren are the children of their daughter Genella, who would have been 19 in 1887 when Joseph was born.
