Notes for Eva Violet Patton
The Alex Patton family bible
107 contains as the sixth recorded birth: “Violett Eve Patton was bornd Feb 17, 1906 weight 10 1/2 lbs”
Since she known as Eva from at least age four and up, I am recording her name as Eva Violet.
In the 1927 newspaper article on her father’s death, she was reported as a surviving daughter Mrs. Eva Markwell, Shelby, Ohio.
Notes for William Corbett & Eva Violet (Family)
It is possible that Corbett and Eva were never officially married. In the 1930 census, he reports his marriage to Cora Jones as his first. But all their children were named Markwell, and Eva went by Markwell until she married Frank Briner.
