Staton, Clark B., 28, farmer; Mirtie, wife, 34; Mary V., dau, 1/12; Sorrell, Irvine, no relation, 9. All born Ky Ky Ky.
This Irvin Sorrell was the son of William M. “Bill” Sorrell and Elizabeth “Lizzie” McClain. Bill died in 1919. Lizzie was still alive, living in Bath Co. with six other children. I know of no relationship between the two families.
1930 census of Bath Co., Ky, Salt Well precinct, enumerated 11 April, lists on p. 6A as family #30/32, on Thompson Road:
