The Kentucky birth index lists Florence B. Lawwill, born 10 May 1912 in Bath Co., mother’s maiden name Mattie Martin. It also lists Florence Lawwill, born 15 May 1911 in Bath Co., mother’s maiden name Mattie Martin. The first is an original filing; the second is a delayed certificate registered in 1942. Perhaps she lost track of her proper birthdate, and when they could not find her birth certificate under the requested year, they filed for a new one. (In the 1920 census, she is listed as age 5, which would imply a birthdate in 1914. So the family clearly was not great in keeping track of dates and ages.)
