Mar 1893; Ollie, dau, 4, b. Oct 1895; baby, dau, 0/12, b. May 1900. All children born Ky Ky Ky.

Note the discrepancy between the reported age and birthdate for Phoeba. The different numbers in the reported length of marriage suggests that they may each be reporting the number of years since their first marriages.

Samantha Craft married Leander Blankenship in 1895. He is also living with his parents in this census year, recorded as married. So her marital status should be either married or divorced rather than single.

Her gravestone has the years 1830-1899, but it is a modern polished granite style that appears to have been erected in the 1970’s to 1990’s. The birth year may have been due to misreading the inscription on an old weathered stone.

Breathitt Co., Ky marriage records list the marriage on 5 Aug 1858 of Allen Craft, age 18, residence Caney, born in Breathitt Co., and Rachel Oliver, age 20, residence Quicksand, born in Perry Co.
