Notes for Leander & Samantha (Family)
Morgan Co., Ky marriage records list the marriage on 25 June 1895 of Leander Blankenship and Samantha Craft.

This marriage apparently ended in divorce, because in the 1900 census, Leander and Samantha are both back with their parents. Samantha lists herself as single, while Leander gives his status as married, so at the time of the census they were presumably just separated.
Census
1900 census of Morgan Co., Ky, district 6, enumerated 13 June, lists on p. 11A as family #173/175:
Blankenship, Darthula, 56, b. May 1844, Tenn Tenn Tenn, widowed, mother of 12 children, 11 living; Leander, son, 25, b. Oct 1874, married 5 years; Floyd, son, 19, b. Dec 1880; Helen, dau, 17, b. May 1883; Malcum T., son, 13, b. Dec 1886; Benjamin, grandson, 3, b. Aug 1896.

Leander’s wife Samantha is recorded with her parents, under her maiden name and listed as single. The grandson Benjamin is almost certainly theirs, though, because in the 1910 census Samantha is listed as the mother of 4 living children, and there are only three in the household. Also in the 1920 census Benjamin is recorded as a nephew in the household of John Blair and Corda Craft.
