“RAINELLE - Maxine Adkins, 67, died in her home, Saturday evening, Sept. 16, 1995, following a short illiness.
Born July 25, 1928 at Orgas, she was the daughter of the late Samuel H. and Daisy Ramey Brown.
Mrs. Adkins had been a resident of Rainelle since 1962. She was a member of the Rainelle United Methodist Church and was the former manager of the Brookside Restaurant, Rainelle. She was also a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Burl Seagraves in 1963 and her second husband, P. W. “John” Adkins in 1984.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie McClung of Rainelle and Carolyn Weser of Morgantown; a son, Jerry Seagraves of Rainelle; three sisters, Cora Bowman of Lorain, Ohio, Ruby Pennington of Dunbar and Pearl Pauley of St. Albans; tow brothers, Samuel Brown Jr., Charleston and Jack Brown, Buffalo; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bob Stoddard officiating. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.”
