In the 1900 census she appears with Milton Smith age 27 as Elizabeth Smith, mother, widowed, age 61, b. Mar 1849, Ky Ky Ky, mother of 4 children, 4 living. Note that the age and birthdate add up to 1910, not 1900.

I cannot find this family in the 1860 or 1870 census. It is reconstructed from Pinkney’s death certificate, the 1880 census where Elizabeth appears with her second husband Nicholas Smith, and the 1900 census where she appears as the mother of Milton Smith, and the 1910 census where Pinkney Hall appears as Milton’s half-brother.
