This index page is only for the queries which were submitted directly to this web site in 1996 and 1997, before the various automated query boards came into being. With two popular free query board sites to choose from, one at Rootsweb/Ancestry and another at GenForum, having yet another query system maintained here would just make it harder for researchers to find all the current queries.

Both of the above message systems are designed and managed by their respective companies and are not affiliated with the USGenWeb Project. I'm the volunteer administrator for the Rowan County message board at Rootsweb, but the volunteer administrators have no control over the features or performance of the message system. The GenForum message boards do not have volunteer administrators at all.
The link will take you to the first query for that surname. If there are additional queries for the same surname, the number after the name indicates how many there are, and the first query will contain a link to the next query with that name.
