Click, mother’s maiden name Miss Perry, both born in Ky, cause of death consequences of old age, informant Evert Stamper, Elliottville, Ky, burial in McBrayer Cemetery, Elliottville.

In 1910 she was listed in Rowan Co., Ky, with her son John, as Parthena Sublett, mother, 76, widowed, mother of 12 children, 11 living.

In 1920 she was listed in Carter Co., Ky, as Parthenia Sublett, age 87, mother-in-law, widowed, with the family of Marida Waddell, age 70, and his wife Mollie, age 52.

Morgan County marriage records list license issued to James G. Sublett and Parthena Click on 10 Oct 1851, no return.

Neither James nor Parthena is related to me, but several of their children and grandchildren married relatives of mine, including their son David who married my 1C3R Lizzie Royse (dau of William Royse and George Ann Riddle), and their granddaughter Cora Sublett who married my 1C2R Roscoe Pettit (son of John Pettit and Malissa Clark).

In 1850, both James and Parthena were living with the family of Daniel & Juliana Perry, but they were not yet married:

The relationship of Parthena to this family is unknown, but most likely she is a granddaughter of Daniel Perry and his first wife, through a daughter of theirs who married a Click. Her death certificate lists her mother’s maiden name as Perry, but does not supply a given name.)

1900 census of Elliott Co., Ky, Devil’s Fork precinct, enumerated 14 June, lists on p. 8A as family #133:
Sublett, Parthena, 67, b. July 1832, widowed, mother of 12 children, 11 living; Rinda E., granddau, 15, b. June 1884. Both born Ky Ky Ky.

The preceding household is that of their daughter Rinda and husband William Stamper, the one before that is their son William with wife Ollie, and the following household is that of their son John with wife Lou.
